Nope! Achevements should be unaffected.
Hmm, haven't seen that issue before. The mod creates a grimmod.log file in the game directory but I don't think that would detect the crash alone. If you wanted to, you could try adding the -log launch parameter for the game which will produce a Grim.log that might give more info. Then you could enable verbose logging for the mod (see the Config section of https://hexagon.codes/grimhd). Then after a crash you could DM me both Grim.log and grimmod.log and I might be able to piece together the crash source. Verbose logging for the mod produces a lot of data so you can turn that off asap. Sorry for the trouble!
PS. Thanks for posting the thread Samael :)
Probably because AI upscaling was not a real thing back in 2012-2015 during its development. I mean DLSS didn't come out until 2019 for example.
Deleted the comment but by comparing I have in fact now overwhelmingly noticed that while the HD-mod may be nice in and of itself, the actual effect on (enjoyment of) the game as such is close to zero for me personally at least. I think that's interesting. I.e., sure, nice improvements here and there, but at the same time, yaaaaah, who in fact cares...
Sorry, I know that's a bit negative towards the HD-mod as such, and I'm leaving it installed because, why not -- but at the same time perhaps positive towards Double Fine's decision to not care/bother.
