Has anyone yet linked Grim Fandago to the Loteria?

Mexican bingo / fortune telling card system Loteria has cards for La Calavera (the skull), La Morte (with the scytle), the spider, the soldier, the cactus, the barrel, the ketchup bottle, and many other items found in this game. the Woman card, La Dama, looks like Meche!

I just couldn't be the first person to notice this... but google gives me no results. Are there no people of Mexican descent who play the Loteria who also played Grim Fandago? Are there no Grim Fandango geeks like me that end up googling and finding "La Calavera Catrina" to learn about her history of revolution and over-dressing?

I read that each card of Loteria comes with a poem/saying in spanish. The spider says to beat it away with a stick. (A walking stick, perhaps, or a scythe?). Doesn't the Soldier card just want to say "Viva La Revolucion?"

Shouldn't there be a version of Loteria from grim fandago screen shots and sayings.. by someone who can draw better that I could, and more time on their hands.

Thank you for noticing! When no one commented we made some videos... we had to stop making them though. We made just enough to discuss the placement of La Luna, the light of lovers, on the docks of Year 2. Changes the meaning of a lot of the dialogue there.
