A Comprehensive List of Bugs & Workarounds
Bugs - critical
  • Cannot send bug reports via in-game interface - always tells the board is overloaded.

  • Handlers stealing items - a handler would approach a shelf, take its contents slot by slot, then return to his station outside the property. The items are gone.

    Workarounds:
Easy: fire the bugged worker, restart game, hire a new one.
Better: automate your workers in such a way that no two workers use the same workstation or storage unit. Examples: if items from one shelf go in several destinations, set all routes from that shelf for the same handler. Never make two handlers access items from the same shelf. If two handlers work on two presses, route products of these presses to two short shelves instead of one long.

    How to fix:
This bug occurs when two workers interfere with each other's tasks, attempting to access the same workstation/storage/slot at the same time. This also causes the bug with slot becoming perpetually locked. Workers should have better system of locking and checking what they are about to access.

  • Loading bays in Barn and Warehouse are not selectable as destinations for handlers.

  • Daily statistics only account for earnings since last load if save was reloaded mid-day. Since daily experience is calculated based on earnings, this leads to loss of experience on re-loading.
Bugs - annoying
  • When driving, "need a fix" dialog appears. Any answer moves you out of the car immediately, the car maintaining it's velocity. If you choose to trade, trade happens "across time and space", with the NPC miles away from you. You may stop and exit the car first, the trade should you choose it proceeds in the same fashion.

    How to fix:
The game does not check if a player is in a car when an NPC decides to run up to the player. There has to be a check, maybe more than one. Easiest is to check if a player is in a car and moving. You could also check if a player is moving faster than some threshold, or even let NPC try and physically catch up with a player in a car before the dialogue appears.

  • Sometimes workers stop performing their tasks. This only happened for me once in >30 hours, again with a handler, who just refused to go to a shelf and move bananas to a mixing station. I guess he decided to quit the business.

    Workarounds:
A simple save reload convinced him to change his mind.

  • Sometimes input slots on workstations lock forever, even when no one performing any work/delivery on the workstation.
  • Sometimes handler drops items in a bugged slot - these items are just gone.

    Workarounds:
    Save reload helps.

  • Checkpoints often break except for one in the starting area. Dockyard checkpoint is especially problematic. Examples: roadblock not lowering after car search, roadblock lowering on one lane only and that is opposite, the cop on the opposite side deciding to search you after you've already been cleared and now you're under arrest for non-compliance, cops not approaching to search you until you speak to them.

  • NPC cars not keeping distance may lock your trunk from being searched by the police. If another car stops behind player at a checkpoint it blocks a cop from walking to your trunk.

  • Sometimes game places back furniture pieces that were initially in properties. Beds, bins, shelves, standing lamp in motel room. Items restore even in illegal positions, i.e. "through" other objects.

    How to fix:
I think this happens when a save is loaded on a new machine where the game has not created (or loaded) a save (or that particular save) before.

Also, one time the game just erased all of my items in the motel. It happened after I played a bit on Steam Deck and then loaded my save again on PC. Everything was intact except for Motel - everything in there (a couple of shelves with reagents and a mixing station) was gone and replaced with standard furniture. I'm positive it was indeed a bug and not a save synchronization error - I've checked for other changes I've made when playing on Steam Deck.

  • Products app only shows up to 5 effects of a strain.

  • Sometimes you can't assign a workstation that has just been un-assigned from a different worker until you reload save. The game thinks the workstation is still assigned to the previous worker.

    How to fix:
Happens often with plant pots and dying racks, maybe issues with mass-selection?
Bugs - not sure if features
  • Supplier's palette disappears when the supplier is gone even if it has items on it. If intended I'm not sure whan is the point of the palette then?

  • Items left on a supplier's palette can only be retrieved if a meeting happens in the same place. In other words, items are bound to palettes at the meeting spots, not to the suppliers.

  • Sometimes items left on a supplier's palette are just gone the next time supplier arrives to the same location.

  • Toilet currently has no use. It's description says it can be used to disposed of waste, but no item can be used on it.

  • Jars stack up to 10 when empty, but up to 20 when full. That doesn't make sence.

  • Chemistry lab doesn't filter amounts of items it accepts based on the recipe selected. It leads to sittuatuions where a handler puts 40 acid and 20 phosphorus there, and chemists can't work.
Bugs - cosmetic
  • Chemists do not generate trash. They should leave piles of opened bottles, but the floors are pristine clean. Maybe they are just pedantic as that, take out their own trash...

  • Mixing stations do not generate trash. This is slightly different to the bug above: chemical laboratory still generates trash when I use it. But mixing stations, they used to generate trasah but stopped since as early as Barn - for everone, me or workers.

  • Police question-mark doesn't appear when spotted through bars. When the police see you at curfew, you get a small question mark at the policeman's location AND a large question mark in the centre of the screen. But when they spot you through bars, the big one doesn't show up, only the small one.

  • Sometimes NPCs turn invisible when first won as customers. They just disappear in place instead of walking away. Reported to happen in Suburbia.

  • There are some overlapping issues with combo-box in Deliveries app when the combo-box is at the very bottom of the phone screen - it spills below the phone screen border.

Regarding Sometimes workers stop performing their tasks, one way to trigger this is to 'interfere' with the workstation that the worker wants to use. For example, if I trim a plant and a botanist decides he wants to interact with it while I'm doing so, the botanist will sometimes just 'break' and not move again until restart. The most common worker for this bug is the cleaner, not sure why. Maybe trash drops in a place that he can't reach or something.

NPCs turning invisible when collected as a customer.
In the beta branch, I'm noticing that some Suburbia NPCs are turning invisible when I first win them as a customer. I don't know if it happens to other levels of NPC, but these are the current ones in my playthrough that I am collecting.

Police question-mark doesn't appear when spotted through bars.
