The cauldron is bugged because of the chemists I think, we can no longer access it after putting coke leaves in it and the chemists will not activate it.

having this problem too
You can unassign the chemists, save and reload but it'll likely happen again really soon.

I just do that part of the production manually since it's so bad.

I save my game and go back to the main menu and reload my save and its all good again. It is stating to get annoying though.
Had this bug a few times.
1: try punching them. SOmetimes that works, but not often.

2: Select the Job Order and take them off the Cauldron. Then save the game. Then reload the game and access the cauldron, empty it and unplace it. Place it again and give them that job again.

the 2nd one worked for me, that worker hasn't broken since i did that.

i tried everything i just resorted to firing all my employees
This is a known issue that is not being fixed. I think someone said the fix is assigning 1 chemist to only 1 cauldron and keep it like that. If you have 4 cauldrons you need 4 chemists or it will keep happening.

I have 4 chemists using 2 cauldrons and 2 ovens each. They are working just fine now and 1 Chemist at the barn uses 4 cauldrons.
And 1 chemist using 2 labs and 2 ovens making meth.

So it isn't actually bugged a quick fix to this is unassign the chemist save your game then load back in, once you load back in take out all the leaves and gas then move the cauldron a little further away and you should be all good. I'm assuming you have the cauldron close to another? even if you leave enough space to walk between them this still happens so try leaving about 8 squares between them at least instead. Hope this helps :)

No, it's just because the cauldrons are too close together or close to other interactable objects I have 1 chemist working 2 cauldrons and 2 ovens with no problems.
