If its that then empty the pot and remove the pot from the floor and place it again without turning it. Set the worker again and save reload. They should start working again, if not fire the employee and hire a new one.
Its a pain in the backside fixing employee bugs ... but its the only thing I've found that has a chance of fixing them sadly.
Of course, I double/triple checked all the settings and they were identical to the other pots and supplies were available.
Interesting idea but I don't recall any trash being present before I moved the other pot.
Also after the next day started she actually got around to collecting the plant in the screenshot. That wasn't the case with the first plant though.
