Future Update?: Plant Cross-breeding to grow custom weed
I think the ability to crossbreed seeds to grow the different strains of weed as plants would be very valuable!

I find myself spending alot of time mixing ingredients together to get all the custom strains. Mass producing the custom weed can take a few in-game days. I think it would be awesome if we could grow custom strains.

Agreed. Would be nice if we could use the kush we harvest to either turn it into seeds (turning mixed Kush into the seeds would provide seeds for that mix) instead of just packaging it and selling. Perhaps some seeding station for that? Would be nice to produce our own seeds so that we aren't so reliant on seed dealers.
I'd imagine in future updates we'd see people doing a weed only run so I hope this'll become a thing.

Personally I'd want to focus on meth and get a pure glass product

A Seed Station would be perfect for that! With PGR and Fertilizer added to the pot you can harvest approx 15(+/-) buds. Maybe put buds in the Seed station with a seed conversion of 20% or something to keep it balanced?
Yeah would be cool if the game implemented plant hybridization to start those with the baseline effects. It's a real thing among gardeners and even marijuana growers, and would add a good deal of variety to the mixing process. Just flat out replacing OG Kush' calming with buds from an OG/chili plant hybrid so the spicy effect is a starting point, which could then expand into explosive (I know donut-donut does explosive for the HAHAs) and something like fire resistance if the cartel fighting ever gets off the ground.

Could do something similar for custom meth with a crystallisation chamber (Machine)?? Put custom meth in and some other ingredients and over time it creates more as the crystals grow?

I don't know how meth works Haha

This would be an interesting way to give your PC different effects as more stuff is added.

Mix something with Asbestos, smoke it and gain Fire Resistance.

I don't know how meth works Haha
Me neither. The only things I know about meth is that its illegal and addicting. Plus breaking bad and this game.
I'm not so sure about being able to grow the mixable strains. It feels like that would kill the point of mixing.

I would, however, love to see some hybrid strains the player could make along the same vein as the original four that just allow you to start with a single different trait. Like breeding granddaddy purple and OG Cush for some new trait that you can't normally mix.

This might also encourage people to grow more than one strain, as if the hybrids have unique traits you can't just use mixing to get them.
The Dev probably left this out because it would now be too close to real ......just sayin

I would welcome it myself but at the same time I understand why it is how it is

I like your idea for hybrid strains but for me, it takes soooo long to bulk mix products to maximise profits. I know you can hire handlers to automate mixing but even that takes some time.

Perhaps the devs did leave this out intentionally however, I'd say the core concepts are easy enough for anyone to pick up if they wanted to start growing their own plants.
