Creepy Wall bug
I just bought the bungalow and relocated my operations there. The problem is, I keep getting these spaced out crackheads accosting me through the walls (Yes, through the walls) of the boarded up front room while I'm trying to cook & mix at 4 AM. How can these messed up pooh-pahs see me, let alone interact with me, through solid walls?

Please tell me this is a bug that the dev is aware of and actively working to patch. There's nothing creepier than having a drug addicted Kerbal beg you for drugs at 4 AM through solid walls.

Yeah same here, I have my packaging station next to the outer wall and they talk to me through the wall. I guess it'll get fixed later.

one evening an active police car glitched into the living room :D

Thank the God of open air shooting galleries for that. I'm glad it is in fact a bug and that the dev wasn't intentionally shooting for some Phasmophobia knockoff, jump scare vibe. The sound of circling footsteps and desperate, pleading voices through a wall from someone you can't see in the wee hours is really unsettling.

I thought it was convenient because I'm inside and wont get arrested and am making bank through solid walls

To be honest i just said what you asked for, i have no idea if the dev is fixing or even aware of the issue ^^

NPCs largely ignore walls and solid objects as far as interactions are concerned (sole exception being the LOS detection of police), aside from that, they only use solid objects in pathing calculation (in some cases very poorly), but if you are in range for an interaction (such as accosting you begging for drugs) distance is the only factor, not how solid or thick any walls or obstacles may be.

One can reasonably expect this will be patched at a later stage as the game's development progresses, when the time is right.

Put another way: this is just one of those "early stages of the game's development" things. Not necessarily a bug, just WIP.

Its a distance thing. Stop standing against the walls and they won't be able to start the conversation begging to buy a hit.

Myself, i like those sales, we can seel so much to them for a jacked up price most times especially if its a product they love and high quality. Easy extra monies.

on that note, it's not just addict npcs who are using distance minus LOS breakers for interactions;

Employees at properties often ignore solid objects, even walls, for their interactions with work stations. The barn property is one of the worst; I have employees who will exit the barn and path around the outside (even though it is a longer distance to travel) just to interact through the wall then trudge all the way back indoors to the next objective.

There was a time in my life when I may or may not have been in a business similar to the one presented in this game. Having someone tapping on your bedroom window at 3am is something likely to happen more than once.

I know in the game its just a bug, but it isn't unrealistic. ^_^
