You have to assign a botanist directly to the drying rack. If you just mark the drying rack as output for the plants they will just place them in the inventory there.
Right now I use 16 plants and 8 drying racks with total of three botanist. 1 for the 8 racks, and two for the plants.
2. sometimes it's simply too late, and you'll need to rest
3. check their money
4. sometimes simply reloading the game fixes the processes
[edit: seems they may not need trimmers, but i keep some in there anyway for each botanist]
[edit: make sure you pots have a destination set, and a botanist assigned to them]
Then a pot and a grow light or that tent. Nothing else.
The soil thingy and water sprikler are jsut for players to make it faster ... with a hired emplyeee cleaning up and handler packing the mix made by chemists. At least in early game.
Late game your employes do it all ... except restocking everything.
edit: oh and that dryer rack if you want to make heavenly bags for the best prices and chances deals are not refused.
Right now we ignore watering and soil dispensers once we get botanists?
Makes room for more stuff, but kinda feels backwards.
You need to have your clipboard out, click each pot, press 'E' on the pot, then select fertilizer as the additive. The fertilizer needs to be placed on the 'Supplies Shelf'. Ensure the pots are selected for the Botanist.
There are a lot of settings. As before, you can select each station and change their settings. For drying racks, you can designate the quality and destination on the end product. You can make them go straight from the rack to a storage unit, a mixer, a packing station etc..
Most employees will wait for an entire stack of 20 before doing anything with it. They may not start the drying process until there is a full stack of 20 in the drying rack or mixing stations.
I have a fully automated bud farm at the Bungalow due to that loading dock being the only one that works. I simply supply the seeds, fert, soil, and mixing supplies. Each bud is heavenly. I just grab the bricks when I go restock the Botanist supplies. I automated the mixers.
