Is it possible to have an update where botanist can use the automatic sprinkler and soil dispenser?

Mine use it now. they load the soil and everything. Am i missing something?
Mine use the can to water the plants instead of the sprinkler. It also looks like they are putting the soil directly into the pot.

I came here for the same problem, my worker don't use automatic sprinkler, he's using his own water bucket. And I'm not sure if he's using the auto soil dispenser, since I'm using the very long soil, so maybe he haven't needed to load any yet. Sad part is, I spent a lot of money buying those automatic sprinker and soiler, only to realize he doesn't use them.

It'd be nice if the botanists would use the drying racks like described in their job description too because they only move product from pots to the drying racks without starting the drying session and then can't harvest the next plant because the rack is "full". Seems like all workers are also coded to use basic stations because, botanists use their own water bucket, chemists interaction with a mixing station MK2 have long interaction as if they were using the regular one and you can tell in their animation.

You have to assign a botanist directly to the drying rack. If you just mark the drying rack as output for the plants they will just place them in the inventory there.
Right now I use 16 plants and 8 drying racks with total of three botanist. 1 for the 8 racks, and two for the plants.
if youre running the operation yourself use sprinklers, if youre using workers dont use them, deff makes sense that they would use them though. i took all sprayersd and dispensers out to maximize space for other things
my botanists don't use the soil dispenser or the sprinklers and now that i have them they don't trim the plants i don't really know what i did wrong

1. they'll need trimmers in their designated space
2. sometimes it's simply too late, and you'll need to rest
3. check their money
4. sometimes simply reloading the game fixes the processes

[edit: seems they may not need trimmers, but i keep some in there anyway for each botanist]

[edit: make sure you pots have a destination set, and a botanist assigned to them]

Botanists need a shelf with seeds, soil, and any bottles you want added.
Then a pot and a grow light or that tent. Nothing else.
The soil thingy and water sprikler are jsut for players to make it faster ... with a hired emplyeee cleaning up and handler packing the mix made by chemists. At least in early game.

Late game your employes do it all ... except restocking everything.

edit: oh and that dryer rack if you want to make heavenly bags for the best prices and chances deals are not refused.

Came here to check for the same thing... is this confirmed working as intented, or a bug / missing feature?

Right now we ignore watering and soil dispensers once we get botanists?
Makes room for more stuff, but kinda feels backwards.
Ok, I see a lot of people have the same problem^^. Unfortunately the botanists are rather useless to me. They just take too long to make the plants fit. I don't spend 200 a day on that. I'll probably just leave them in the corner and not pay until they're fixed.
This is a catastrophe! It doesn't even empty and doesn't use the allocated drying racks. Quite the opposite. If I hang something up there, she takes it down again straight away. Even if I take away her responsibility for the racks, I have to get rid of her.

They also did not use the fertiliser, as stated in the description. So they don't actually do anything XD. The shelf with the fertiliser is right next to the pots. Why don't they use that?

You need to have your clipboard out, click each pot, press 'E' on the pot, then select fertilizer as the additive. The fertilizer needs to be placed on the 'Supplies Shelf'. Ensure the pots are selected for the Botanist.

There are a lot of settings. As before, you can select each station and change their settings. For drying racks, you can designate the quality and destination on the end product. You can make them go straight from the rack to a storage unit, a mixer, a packing station etc..

Most employees will wait for an entire stack of 20 before doing anything with it. They may not start the drying process until there is a full stack of 20 in the drying rack or mixing stations.

I have a fully automated bud farm at the Bungalow due to that loading dock being the only one that works. I simply supply the seeds, fert, soil, and mixing supplies. Each bud is heavenly. I just grab the bricks when I go restock the Botanist supplies. I automated the mixers.

Thank you very much :). I just found out about the fertiliser myself. it's a bit confusing at the beginning. I'll also try out the trough racks again.
