Yes, nothing is forcing you to pay money but it's a fashion game. A lot of the fashion is behind a paywall. People are going to pay, thats common sense. And this game has been out longer than it's been on steam, people have already invested money into this game only to be met with a slap in the face by Infold with a sloppy unpolished and greedy update. People who paid *money* for the daily log-in rewards prior to this update who had devices who couldn't enter the game anymore due to crashing basically got scammed out of their real money.
It is people like you who are complacent, and make excuses for this kind of stuff that are the reason the gaming industry is such a disaster today.
Stop being a bootlicker! If you don't mind Infolds tomfoolery, then you don't have to complain about it but you don't get to tell other paying customers to stop complaining.
This game is a SCAM we know this, but i spend my money in this game because this is the first game for years which nails me to the armchair and this is big words from me because i am a modern game player and i hate half finished games.
People pay for Netflix, HBO, Disney+, Amazon etc... i not pay for movie watching on internet i spend my money to this game. Why is this a problem? Someone pay for Netflix someone pay for games and virtual items. (yes i have the bathtube and bubble stick too)
The montly payed World of Warcraft is better? If you play 5-6 years with WoW you spend a lot of money for the montly subscribe.
I say again: My only issue with this game is the random crashes after i illuminate 4-5 Nikkis. (RTX 4080S)
I no have lost diamonds and other problems. Yes yes its a little bit buggy but which game is not? Go and watch some Assa Shadows bug videos with the random flying character.
I understand this game is a paywall scam and with that in mind I keep playing with it because i like the world, the outfits, the effects and the modern (RT) graphics with cool working dress/hair physics.

Personally, what irks me the most is the new prologue, so much so that I wrote a massive thread. I'm not a new player, so why do I care about the new prologue so much? Because it's not just a prologue, it's a new story. Because the storytelling is trash. Because instead of delivering new main story, all they did was remaking the prologue over and over again. Because I care about new players, and the health of the game.
I don't think you realised just how many people, especially new players, quit during or after finishing the prologue.
But the game wasn't released yesterday, it was released in December 2024, so anyone who wanted to play it could have done so and seen the story back then.
Will those who will play it in half a year's time also complain that they don't get the same story as the others a year and a half before?
The fact that someone deletes the game after the introductory scene is not my problem, at least I have more space on the server.
Even more problematic is that I'm running out of friend space because I've already used half of it (107 active friends).
Maybe YOU don't have problems with the changes and have no bugs but others people have. If we can accept your opinion, why shouldn't you accept people having complains? Your gamer experience has no more value than another one. You can still give your money to Papergames that are treating their customers like ♥♥♥♥ (both regarding the bugs, story change, pulls) and we can continue to girlcott lol.

And what do you expect from it? Will the developers be so good that they'll give everything away for free? Or will they wipe the whole game?
You need servers for this game and you need to fund it from something. If no one will pay for anything in it, how will it go on for years?
I've paid for people who will never pay for it, but will still spend hours and hours on it.
This game is still in its very early stages.

Are you actually paying? Im thinking possibly not.. Ive subbed since the first week and maybe paid for 2 mira journeys, plus a few $2 items. I've got every 4 star i've wanted, got 8/10 of a 5 star free at launch, paid for one full 5 star, and have 18k diamonds as of now. I don't feel like i've overpaid compared to what they've added to the game, and compared to western mmos its a charity, as money for zero content will always lose the value check. The only problem is they provide the option to spend hundreds. This has been a plague on western games for a decade now? Its nothing new. And of course i didn't mention the 10 or so free 3 stars and all the other junk during that time.
Really.. this has been a problem for a decade, and western companies give you even less. And will take as much via even more blatant casino gambling.
If they are copying the western model, basically as soon as 1 year ticks over it will all flat because the monthly content that's delighting at the moment was in fact intended for repeat every year and there will be nothing to do in nikki unless they put something in that currently isnt there yet.

I think like others, I'm girlcotting because I feel betrayed. Like I said in other posts, I have started the NIkki series 10 years ago, and I'm paying since 3 years ago in their games. I pay because I love this game, so I also pay for people can play it, and because hard work of course deserves money for it.
I don't really care if the servers shut down tbh. I absolutely adore this game, but I will be fine living without it, even if it will be a little sad. I'm girlcott because I don't like the changements that have been done and think they show that they don't care about us (especially regarding the story and the sea of star land), and I show my disaprovement with me not paying. Bugs are also a reason for this, since it's really problematic for a lot of players, some more than others (ex people losing diamonds for no reason or crashing). The positive reviewbombing recently was for me also a reason to not continue paying. For me, a company has to respect its costumers if they want money. I don't felt respected rn.
When they will stop their silent treatement and adress the current issues, I will see if I will be a dolphin again. Until then, I'm making economies and playing other things. Either way I'm fine with that.
