tutorial friend section

im in the tutorial by the hopscotch part and the prompt comes up to hit escape to show cursor click friends then when the friend screen pops up i cant do anything it just freezes. i uninstalled and reinstalled. cant make a new character for some reason. is there anything i can do... or just add this game to my hidden list of games
