Hello sweepers, welcome back to another week of Beyond the Grid! We've also concluded challenge week, how many of you were able to make it through every day?

This week, we asked the devs to tell us about a feature in the game, here's what they had to say:

The Siblings of course - a trap that makes enemy tiles hold multiple enemies. It’s my favourite trap so far. It changes the logic behind the minesweeper puzzles just enough while remaining solvable (just in a different way)

Oh how the Siblings have been confounding us! It's no surprise it's the dev's favourite, but wow did it have me looking at my screen baffled at many points. Check out some of the massive numbers below thanks to the Siblings -

Hello Sweepers!

How are you getting on with Challenge Week? Does it tickle your brain?

We're bringing you a new weekly series called Beyond the Grid where we ask the developers of Infinity Sweeper some questions about the game and share them with you! We hope you enjoy these little titbits of information:)

For our very first edition of Beyond the Grid, we asked the devs: What is something that came together easier than you expected?

Daily challenge mode came together pretty nicely! We had no idea how it was gonna turn out and how much we’d have to manipulate the parameters for it to generate a playable and synergic build, but after not much testing the builds it started creating came together really fun! It even made some extremely fun builds we would never have thought of ourselves!

That's a great on-topic response for out first Beyond the Grid don't you think? As someone who is terrible at Minesweeper, the challenge mode has been proving, well, challenging but still so much fun to attempt! What's the furthest stage you've made it in today's challenge or have you been smart enough to clear it? I made it to 14 and tapped out (I am determined to complete it)

Infinity Sweeper Launch Date Inside!

Hello everyone (again)!

We finally have a release date for Infinity Sweeper! No more wondering when you can finally play the full version of the game, now you can actually count the days down

Infinity Sweeper will launch on Thursday 7th May - just under a month away!

It's almost time to take what you've learnt from the demo so far and put your skills to the test in the full game. Minesweeper's gone rogue and you guys must try to defeat the constantly evolving grid!

And ICYMI from the previous announcement, we're also bringing you a big update to the demo, introducing the Daily Run mode! This gives you a fixed set of tiles, permanents, cards, and traps to start your run with. Alongside this, there is a weeklong Challenge Mode running from 9th - 15th April, you can read all about it here!

We've also got a shiny new trailer to celebrate the release date announcement, peep the trailer down below!

Demo Bug

Played the demo, i personally loved minesweeper so to see someone finally bringing minesweeper to the rougelike genre is super exciting since i also loved balatro Anyways, the bug first showed up in the shop, there were two shops on top of each other, i could only buy from the first. then i clicked next round and it brought up the second shop behind it. i clicked through thinkign "ok double shop, minor bug" but no, this spawned two minesweeper boards on top of each other and it would reveal one layer but ...

Can we turn off the screen shake?

It really disrupts the flow of play to have the screen shake every time you reveal a tile. It would be nice to have a setting to turn that off.

Demo feedback

Enjoyed this game enough to bother writing things down that bothered me. Ironic, right? Anyway, here's a bunch of constructive criticism for aspects of the game I noticed while playing the demo. Visual: - Revealed enemies are white, which makes it extremely difficult to properly differentiate them from numbered tiles. Could instead have an option where it remains a dark tile with a red/white skull on it. - Make cursor smaller as you zoom out, I can barely see which tile I'm hovering over. - Interest Growt...

The roguelike elements are not necessary.

I think the single biggest problem with a classic x roguelike crossover is when the roguelike part is actively being pointless. As long as you are just a tiny decent at regular minesweeper, you are going to get high scores every time.
