Patch 1.0.2 has introduced Shader Compilation Stutters
I have installed the new patch and its clear that that the developers have caused new issues. It seems the Shader compilation process worse now. There are stutters we get in game when we do things for the first time.

Ubisoft dev team please fix this as it is otherwise ruining what was a good game before.

My Specs:
9800X3D
RTX4090
Barracuda SSD
32GB 6000 RAM

I saw it do shader compilation on startup after patching and did get a few good stutters after loading in for the first time, but it's been smooth since then as far as I can tell.

Yes the stutters are real, latest patch made this game behave like UE5 game. :steamfacepalm:
they added denuvo in this patch.

Nope, Denuvo was in at launch. It is not the cause for any performance issues.
I had the same problem, what i did was delete the steam, ubisoft and the games cache and did a pc restart and that seems to fixed the stutter issue.
I think i fixed it too. Did a DDU to get rid of any driver and cache , deleted the ini and the cachefile in the documents folder. After start of the game it gave me 1 or 2 little stutters and now it seems to have gone.
Okay it seems that its not fixed... but at least it stutters not so often anymore.
Hopefully they fix this soon .
anyone knows about this issue?

Hey everyone!

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing stutters after the recent update. I recommend performing the technical troubleshooting steps[ubi.li]first and then checking if they appear again.
Please ensure that you are not using any overlays (OBS, Discord, etc.) during the game.
Additionally, you can delete the config file ACShadows.ini from the folder Documents\Assassin's Creed Shadows\ and let the game automatically set the settings.

Yes, DENUVO is responsible for stuttering issues in games. Assassin's Creed Shadows is a stuttering disaster.
