HUD/Menu bugs

Been loving the game but have been dealing with a rather annoying bug where my HUD wont come back after some cutscenes and nothing I do brings it back, even turn the HUD on/off in the options menu. Some menus will also get stuck or just wont load unless I back out and try again, but that occasionally takes a few tries.

I'm wondering if anyone else has been encountering this issue and if anybody has a fix that doesn't require quitting out of the game.

Been getting similar thing with the HUD prompts to hold E etc, they show up fine for first 10 minutes or so but then just decide to stop showing at all, also seems to affect some menus like the "desyncronised press SPACE to reload" screen which just appears blank instead.

Shane woke up this morning and started playing and I have no hud everything is gone like I turned it off and I played these kind of games on story easy because I want the story for not much combat but no hud and reloading the game does nothing

This game is seriously messed up it should have been delayed another year you can destroy shrines but you can't do anything to the animals in the wild this is hilarious they will only just stand there while you hit them

They patched out the ability to destroy shrines with the day one patch. As far as animals go, that's a non-issue, and a deliberate design choice not something that's messed up. There's no crafting mechanics or anything to warrant killing the animals, so I haven't even had the urge to try.

I had this same problem, looks like the issue was I had installed the game onto my C drive, I reinstalled onto an SSD drive and now the game runs great.

I have game instaled on NVME drive, any idea how to fix that? I have this problem constantly which didn't happen in first 10 hours of gameplay.

So I only have an internal SSD but also only have a C drive... am I missing something?

I have this problem to but exiting the memory and entering again fix it, not a great fix because it's doesn't load at the same point as you left at, but does bring back huds and fixes menu screens

Hello there, I’m posting gameplay footage of the game on Youtube, I have already opened a ticket for this issue that was described here because I am encountering the same issues.

I really hope this issues: loading textures, background songs, HUD, visual effects, loading cutscenes (in a single-player game, you need buffering for cutscenes? we can elaborate with some more details if needed), will be resolved soon, it’s a pity because otherwise the game is awesome & I really love it, I would like to enjoy it without the need of restarting the game every few minutes.
