Objective tutorial glitch?

I am stuck on the map screen where I am supposed to send a scout -- after selecting an objective. I cannot get off the map screen - have to shut down.

Hopefully you have worked it our by now but as Azrael said, just click to the right of the Izumi coast, it will then reveal the target you need to exit the map. Its not explained well AT ALL and is a horrible feature, I dont know what the devs were thinking. For anyone stuck Alt + F4 then re-enter objectives map and then click in the blank space just to the right of the Izumi coast. Thanks go to Azrael

I agree with you, unfortunately I just started a new game and hopefully don’t run into anything like this in the future.

I had the same problem. I guess I clicked on another objective (that about the dog on his owners grave) and then wasn't given the chance anymore to select anything at all (the mission marker was not there anymore). Here's what the map looked like. I had to Alt-F4 and go in again and do it right on the first attempt then.

I fixed the problem when I hovered over the bright spot under the quest and then sent a scout to the location described in the quest. For example, I was supposed to find one someone in Sakai. When I sent the scout there I was able to get out of the screen. I couldn't pick a quest that didn't require a scout, though.

I'm sorry to hear that you are stuck. Could you please check and confirm if your issue is related to the "Thrown To The Dogs" quest? If so, this is under investigation. More information can be found on the know issues[ubi.li]list.
To resolve the issue, please try the following:
Restart the game.
Open the Pause menu.
Head over to the Quest section.
Choose to untrack the quest.
Complete the scout tutorial.
Re-track the quest.
