This is exactly what is happening to me also. just when looting. Thought it was my setup or something. just a bug in the game.

Same thing for me before the update no issues, now when looting its very bad.

game was fine before update . smooth 60 fps. now its stuttering most of the time. cutscenes are even worse now. like 15 fps

i have been playing the game on max graphics using sunlight/moonlight to play to my 4k tv. zero stutters i don't know if i am not getting the issues because of my set up though. i am capping the fps to the tv to 60fps and keeping host pc at 60hz and host pc is at 100-120fps i have moonlight set to max 150mbits with balanced plus fps limit on including some other settings. maybe i am not noticing the issues because of the way i am playing but i have had zero issues at maximum graphics. also i am playing through ubisoft. oh i think it is important to note i can play at top end streaming because i have fastest possible internet for my country.

I've got a 7950x3d and 9950x3d (both with a 4090) that stutter (more like a constant "judder") constantly regardless of the settings or reported frame rate. I also have a 5800x3d + 3090ti PC that plays shadows smooth as silk, as long as the settings are low enough. I'm assuming it's an AM5 issue.

Game has fairly bad performance across the board, man. People with 5090s have issues. Wait for a patch.

4090 here and yes, there are performance issues , every time I pick up an item I get an fps drop of 10 fps, there is stuttering everywhere at ultra settings 4k, but the issues starts later in the game, not in the beginning, as every ubisoft game. Just go further in the game.

Do you have dynamic resolution disabled? It was on and game felt like crap. Turning it off helped me.

5090 running at 7680x2180 and frame at 90-100 but at cutscene its at 30 then after cutscene it remains 15 and memory keeps increasing idk if this game has a memory leak or just my ram but every other game is freakin fine.

im noticing this as well. The more I progress in the game, the more performance issues arise. The Ox quest; fighting the Ox and his "Sword" frames dropped to 20-25, i was playing those parts in slow motion, kinda cool if I was fun about it, but man that was the worst performance yet.

There is however a test you could do, if you're using an Nvidia card: could you please download this[www.nvidia.com] specific set of drivers, perform a clean installation (by choosing Custom installation and selecting the clean installation option), test the game and let me know if the problem is still present?

Rolling back driver versions does not resolve the stuttering issues introduced by patch 1.0.1. A game update is the only solution.

@8bit the latest Adrenalin 25.3.2 Optional driver (with support for ACSH) worked flawlessly with the previous game version. The game version changed - the stuttering when interacting started - the issue is the current game build.

Post settings. I'll believe the reviewers using 5090s who struggle to get over 100 FPS on 720p tho sorry.

5800X, 4070 Ti, 1440p ultrawide (30% more pixels than 1440p)
Mostly very high settings with Ray Tracing and BVH set to high. Low Latency Mode set globally to On in the Nvidia Control Panel
Windows 10 (People need to start listing their OS with all the Windows 11 problems since 24H2 because of lot of this could be Win 11 related)

DLSS 4 Quality = 66 FPS
DLSS4 quality + frame gen = 120 fps

46 hours without a single crash although one time it froze for a couple of seconds and then recovered
