Game not detecting my VRAM and SDD correctly?
1. When I go to my video settings, the game only show a bit over 2000MB of available VRAM, while my 4090 has 16GB available. I do have the latest drivers. What is going on?
2. The is installed on a SDD. When I start the game, I get a warning message that the game is on a HDD and that it might cause it to run slower.

Most of the actual game runs smoothly, but all the cutscene keep pausing, and there's a lot of loading time here and there. At this stage I don't know if it's the drive of my geforece, or the fact that the game is not even detecting them correctly?
Anyone else had that issue?

Im using 5070ti got the same problem, the games cant seem to detect my gpu, try go to Geforce Exerience and add the game manual in it, i try that and worked
Ok I figured out the VRAM issue - the game was somehow not connecting to my GeForce but to a built-in GPU instead. It's fixed noww and it detects all available VRAM.
However, the HDD/SDD error is still happening and load times are still incredibly long :(

How did you get it to detect your vram?

First I've tried a lot of different settings somehow wasn't able to do it... so what I did was unplugged my HDMI cable (the one from my monitor) and plugged it into the GPU directly. And it's fine now, next time I booted the game i showed all the VRAM

Should I normally have my HDMI cable running from my GPU hdmi port to my TV???

This is my first computer and AC Shadows say it's using 8076MB / 512MB VRAM when I'm in the in game settings.
When i go to the nvidia app it shows 64% gpu being used

Normal SSD won't cut it, you need M.2.
I had same issue with Starwars Outlaws.

Hello chemik12345,

Thank you for your messages and I'm glad to hear that you resolved the Vram issue.

For everyone else in this thread asking about VRAM.
The HDMI or DisplayPort cable should always connect your main GPU and the monitor.
If you connect your motherboard HDMI/DP (if you have one) to your screen, it will most likely use an integrated GPU, if your system / CPU is equipped in one.

As for the SSD issues, try moving the game to the system SSD drive and verify game file afterwards. If the game keeps showing that your SSD is an HDD, let us know its brand, model and capacity, and what percentage of it is already used.

SSD drives will lose their performance significantly when they approach their full capacity. Usually is means if they are more than 80% used.

With their performance significantly lowered, the game may recognise it as an HDD instead.
