Missing Fullscreen mode
Hi, everyone. I see only Windowed and Borderless Windowed. Is this something wrong on my end and I did not install monitor drivers or it's Ubisoft who did not implement it? Thanks

no full screen option. Top bottom long black bars
Having a few screen issues:
1.There is no full screen option. Only border less and window mode.
2.Under resolutions no options pop up.
3.During the game There is long black bars on the top and bottom of the screen and during cut scenes the sides close in making the game screen a tiny box with bars on all four sides

Worth noting that this has happened to me every and only assassins creed games between odyssey to shadows.

Had a similar problem, someone told me that it is the NVDIA operating software need update . The Ge force Game ready thing at the bottom right. Maybe it is something else if you use other GPU

I have the same issue. I have a 2 monitor setup: the game is always letterboxed on my primary (4k) monitor no matter what resolution is selected in-game, but it works fine on my 2nd monitor (1440p) -- no letterboxing there. Using the latest GeForce drivers (572.83). Would love to know what is going on.

I've been facing an issue with Assassin's Creed: Shadows on PC. Despite setting a 16:9 aspect ratio and 4K resolution, the game displays black bars on the sides during gameplay. I'm currently using Windowed Borderless mode, and I've tried adjusting in-game settings, GPU scaling options (via NVIDIA Control Panel), and even tweaking the configuration file (KeepStandardAspect=1), but the black bars persist.

Does anyone have a fix for this? Is it related to the game's lack of a fullscreen mode or something else? I'd appreciate any insights!

I don't have a fix yet but will update this comment when I do I had a similar problem with AC3 but fixed it here's hoping I can do the same with this.

Found a fix! Not sure if this works on Ultra Wides but I have a 16:9 setup so do with that what you will.

But if u don't feel like watching a 4min video or if it's confusing to you here's the way I did it :D

STEP 1: Download this link https://westechsolutions.net/sites/WindowedBorderlessGaming/ if it doesn't load at first just click reload and the website should load up then
STEP 2: Launch the program + wait until you see this notification pop up (click tray icon for options) then you'll know you're doing it right
STEP 3: After that launch the game in windows mode if it's not in that mode already no worries just go into it when u get to the settings
STEP 4: Go to the program and select add window + also u can add a random key to activate it not just w/ F3 just change it by going into the programs settings
STEP 5: This part was tricky bc it didn't work at first that's why I changed my keybine to the up arrow but what I did was clicked away first then press the key
STEP 6: You'll see another notification pop up saying the game is linked to this window - You'll also know once u did it right when u don't see any borders on or around the window
STEP 7: Go back to the program but this time go to the "game settings" and change the resolution to whichever one fixes your screen change it until you see it match up with your monitors aspect ratio it changes in real time so no need to close the program at all.

END OF THE STEPS : ) If the video didn't help nor did the steps I provided let me know and I'll gladly gladly be of service to you. There's also another fix here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-t4UyuUMkVM&t=1s where you go into regedit but I really didn't want to go mess with anything in that again last time I messed with it literally blue screened and froze my PC yeah I'm good off that I damn near had a heart attack when it happened lol

Same here with no full screen option. Andno Refresh Rate option also. It's weird considering four last AC games have those.
