I'm getting a lot very rapid flickering in the game that comes and goes. using an rtx 4080 with drivers up to date. Anyone getting similar issues and anyone know how to fix it?

for me its worse in cutscenes, but is still present even during gameplay
Are you using Gsync? Flickering is usually caused by that, I think its because of the framerate limit in cutscenes.
Same, RTX 4080 SUPER (572.83 Driver) + I9-13900K. It started after 1-2 hour of story, so not from the beginning. Tried different graphics settings, HDR on/off. Nothing helped. I play Ubisoft version of the game.

Sometimes, it may render shimmering artifacts during cutscene.
I am dealing with the same issue.

Same 12 hours into the game and it started happening
I have the same issue in all brightly lit areas of cutscenes....but also now walking through bright misty areas. Using a rtx 4070

Hey guys, thank you for reaching out, sorry to hear that you are encountering flickering issues. So we can see what you see, would it be possible to share a video of this happening and your in game graphics settings?

In the meantime, I would also recommend completing the troubleshooting steps below as they can help with texture and flickering issues.

- Ensure your PC meets all system requirements [www.ubisoft.com] for Assassin's Creed Shadows including using an SSD.
- Try to have both the game and Ubisoft Connect and Steam on the same drive
- Perform a clean boot [support.microsoft.com] to ensure that a 3rd party app is not interfering.
- Complete the steps in our dedicated troubleshooting guide [ubi.li]

Many thanks in advance
This is the most useful developer's comment I have ever seen. Instead of sending a bug to a QA dept, the Ubiduck offers to check system requirements and update drivers. LOL.
- Hello. IT. Have you tried to turn it off and on again?

This is absolutely an issue with the game (or the drivers) and not the system. I was getting crazy flickering in cutscenes and had to restart the game. I have never seen anything like this in any other game. I suspect it has something to do with the 30 second cutscene frame limit and a bug with the game, but I did also notice it when I had the inventory open. Restarting the game fixed it.

I also noticed that when I brought up the Windows menu (in borderless window mode) the flickering in cutscenes stopped but as soon as I brought the game back into focus the flickering was constant.

Turning off FreeSync or Gsync will resolve this issue.
I can't set the game to run in full screen mode (only Windowed or Windowed Borderless). I checked my Gsync Compatible settings and changed mode to Fullscreen And Windowed. Flickering actually stopped - maybe this helped?
