After today's update, and finally adding NVIDIA DLSS support to the Frame Gen options (I know it was there before but now it is consistently) it feel like the game is stuttering which it wasn't before and even though I play on ultra settings the world looks like mush from any sync point. I usually spend a good amount of time in photo mode because I think the game is beautiful, but after today's update somehow this game runs and looks worse? Am I the only one?
I did some research in benchmark and it looks like the game is somehow rendering over 4000 more frames than my previous benchmark from the prior update. I took a screenshot and am going to find a way to update. This is absolutely wild.
@the devs, let me know what hard data I can compile to research on your end if you are unable to replicate this yourself when booting the game.

Thank you for reporting the visual issues that appeared after the recent update.
Alcatraz1015, could you please delete the config file ACShadows.ini to let the game automatically set the settings and then check if the issue persists? The path to the config is: Documents\Assassin's Creed Shadows\
Additionally, I recommend turning dynamic resolution off, as BournZ mentioned above.
BournZ, thanks for sharing this information with us. Could you please report all issues through the bug reporter[ubi.li] so we can investigate them more closely?
I also merged your topic with this one.
Thanks, so for the record, I never once used DRS prior, and only used once to see if I could get any better (or worse) results. However, deleting the ini seems to have helped the hitching I was experiencing, but I still feel like there is some weird aliasing happening around the player character... but I am not sure if it's anything I can detail in anyway without you standing next to me to see it... but it does not ruin the experience or anything, I wouldn't say. It's just some ghostly looking anomalies on the edge of the character as I move about the world or pan the camera around the character. This was not present prior to the patch. I know this type of visual issue can occur when using older versions of FSR with or without any sort of frame generation technology, but I am using DLSS (quality) with DLSS frame generation and again, this did not look this way previously. It is curious.
I highly recommend and suggest you joining our Ubisoft Discord Server [discord.com].
It's a great place where players share their ideas and feedback on all our games, including Assassin's Creed Shadows.
The server is actively monitored by our game team representatives, so popular ideas have a good chance of gaining traction.
