thanks for reaching out.
Sorry to hear that the game is not launching.
Can you confirm if you were able to launch the game before, or has this issue persisted since the game was purchased?
Did you install the game on the same drive as Ubisoft Connect and Steam?
I'd suggest taking a look at one of our troubleshooting guides[ubi.li] and following any steps you may not have tried yet
I'm sorry to hear that you cannot launch Assassin's Creed Shadows on your PC.
There can be a number of reasons for it, and in order to help you investigate it, share with us the full specs of your PC please:
CPU:
GPU:
RAM:
Storage type (NVME / SSD, HDD):
Windows version:
Type WinVer in the Start menu and press Enter to check your Windows version and build or go to Windows Settings > System > About and check Windows specifications information.
Do you have any additional USB accessories plugged in?
Do you have more than one monitor?
Is the Ubisoft Connect and the game installed on the system C drive?
Please note, that Assassin's Creed Shadows requires an SSD storage device.
Just to be sure, please check if your device meets the game's system requirements[www.ubisoft.com].
CPU Ryzen 9 5950 x
Nvidia RTX 3080 ti
64 GB DDR4 RAM
SSD
I don't have any additional usb accessories plugged in.
I have only one monitor
The game, Ubisoft connect and steam are installed on the same ssd.
I gave my friend access to my steam and he was able to play it on his end. And his system is less powerful than mine.
I have tried all solutions, reinstalling, verifying the game integrity etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
If the issue still persists, please provide us with your Windows version and perform the following steps:
- Check if your Ubisoft Connect app is fully updated.
- Make sure that the Ubisoft Connect PC is not being blocked[ubi.li] by any security software you have, such as a firewall or anti-virus.
- Perform a DISM/SFC [ubi.li] scan on your PC, as this will identify and repair any potential issues with your operating system.
- Try testing the game on a new Windows profile[ubi.li] to rule out any potential issues with your current profile.
- If you have additional peripherals such as a steering wheel or a foot pedal connected to your PC, please unplug everything apart from the mouse/keyboard and test the game.
Some players have reported that unlinking Steam from their Ubisoft account might resolve the issue. However, we don't recommend doing this. If you do try it and it doesn't work, please link Steam again.
