Assassin's Creed Shadows DX12 Error 0x887A0005 on a 4080 Super?

So I'm really enjoying this game and it looks beautiful on my machine. However every so many hours of gameplay my game is crashing with a dialog box that displays the above error message: DX12 Error 0x887A0005

I'm not aware of what that means but it happens at such irregular intervals it has been difficult to track down the cause. It's happened in menus, in combat, at viewpoints, cinematics. I have a decently powerful rig so I feel like I shouldn't be running into this at all. Anyone have any additional ideas? Is it happening to any of you as well?
