Crash after loading on steam deck?
Hello, I was able to play on PC for a while and had fun. When I tried to play on the steam deck however, I'm able to access the menu and load my save, but as soon as the loading is over, the screen turns off and becomes completely unresponsive. My only way out is to restart the steam deck. Is there any known fix to this issue?

I was able to run the game without crashes by setting compatibility to GE-Proton9-11
I don’t have GE-proton9-11 is it normal ?

You need to install it yourself via ProtonUP-Qt, now the latest version is ProtonGE 9-26

I can only run the game with ProtonGE 9-11, but the game slows down a lot and still freezes. I don't know what to do...

⚡I just updated Steam OS to the latest version and the game launched smoothly, without lags or freezes!
tried lowering the resolution, using GE 9-11, using framegen. It will crash on the white square. I have no option but to ask for a refund. So much the "Deck Verified" tag

What version of Steam OS is on your Deck?

Disabling developer mode on the console helped me. Now the game works without problems.

Hello woufh and ChuckPlayer, I am sorry that you're experiencing issues when playing Assassin's Creed Shadows on your Steam Deck. Could you please test the following and let me know if the problem persists?

- Turn ON "Steam Play compatibility tool" and choose either "Proton Experimental" or "Proton 9.4-4".
