Fix the gear lock!

The equiping gear is currently restricted is really ticking me off. I looked it up and says it would show if trying to equip a higher lvl weapon. Or if trying to equip a weapon on a designated weapon slot/spot.
In my case it just locks everything all the time. Video below shows how everything is locked. When I would like to just go to the blacksmith sell and salvage some stuff. After I equip some newer stuff first but i can't because of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I'm sorry to hear that you are unable to change your gear due to the error that it is currently restricted.

I can confirm that this issue has been reported here[www.ubisoft.com]on Bug Reporter.

Whilst our investigations into this issue continue, we recommend restarting the game and attempting to un-equip the tanto to restore the ability to change gear/weapons and use tools.

A lot of us are looking forward to this getting patched. In the mean time, other things that have worked for some people are jumping on the horse, or going to a viewpoint and synchronizing.

I've been able to use the Tanto by keeping melee attack set to Default instead of Combo, but that hasn't worked for everybody. Best of luck with it. Super annoying, but the game is still fun.

Sometimes rolling on the ground seems to get it "unstuck", but not every time. I don`t use the Tanto now, as I like the combo mode.

I appreciate looking into it, to eventually get fix. Think Spock might have been on something that is conflicting. I do have my melee set to combo he mentioned that could cause the issue.

Maybe that is it, I do have it set to combo. Never seen a feature like that so wanted to try it out for a while. I'll try turning it off and see if that is whats causing the issue.
