Crashing Constantly
The game is crashing constantly. I can play for 20 min maybe, then crash. Then when I try to go back on, it crashes again with dx12 issues, even though I put the -dx11 command in. None of the fixes I have seen people post are working.

Yes me too. It seems we have to wait for a patch. Otherwise there will be no help with this problem. Also there is no system in this error. Sometimes it appears in cutscenes, sometimes during fights, sometimes in any other case. All hardware is infected from weak to high end. It makes no other sense than lazy optimation from Ubisoft. They have to fix it quickly!

I've been dealing with this a good bit too. Normally the issue I have is related to my RX7900XTX and the AMD drivers. This time not so much. I was crashing out every 20 - 30 min. What helped me was killing the Steam overlay. I always displayed my fps in the corner. This didn't end the crashing but I can sit down for an hour or 2 at a time now.

A patch would be nice.

I can't even load the game now, it's a broken mess
Same here...
Remove all the overlay has helped to increase the time between a crash and another.
I hoper for a patch i even reinstlled windows knowing that would have done any difference.

I’m sorry to hear that you experience DirectX12 crash issues in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. I understand that this is frustrating.

I would like to confirm that the game team are aware of it happening to some players and the issue is under investigation at the moment.

If you are playing the game on a PC that also has an CPU-integrated graphics card, make sure the game uses your dedicated GPU. You can disable the iGPU directly in BIOS.

Reinstall supporting software[www.ubisoft.com] like DirectX and Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable.

Install different GPU driver version. Make sure you select “clean install” during the process to fully remove the current version.
