This is how buggy and unpolished the game really is....
As Assassin's Creed: Shadows has had more time in players' hands since launch, a growing number of bugs have come to light—further showcasing just how unfinished the game truly is. Some of the most common issues include:

1. NPCs running outside of restricted mission areas, then popping back into existence during cutscenes.

2. Enemy AI repeatedly attacking invincible NPCs, resulting in endless, broken combat loops.

3. Friendly AI dealing zero damage to enemies, creating fake battles that serve no real purpose.

4. Items held by NPCs vanishing and reappearing when their animations are interrupted.

5. NPCs failing to detect the player when standing still directly in front of them, only reacting when the player moves—allowing you to walk a few steps at a time and remain undetected.

6. Cutscenes frequently failing to play audio, sometimes resulting in completely silent sequences.

These bugs, along with many others showcased by YouTuber and Twitch streamer Kotton, highlight just how unpolished and buggy Assassin's Creed: Shadows is in its current state. It’s a disappointing reflection of how far Ubisoft’s quality standards seem to have slipped, especially for a title that was meant to be a major release. For a franchise as iconic as Assassin’s Creed, and a game so crucial to Ubisoft's future, this level of neglect is hard to overlook.

I will be updating my review of the game with this information.

Edit: Leaving this here for all the people coping and getting defensive about people calling out bugs rightfully I don't have the energy to waste trying to reason logic into the brainwashed masses.

Glad your enjoying it truly, but this doesn't change the glaring issues with a game so crucial to Ubisoft staying in business and with only a peak of 60k players on steam alone while not an end all be all metric it's very telling how not well the game is doing

RDR2 made 70 million sales and has around the same peak players on steam mind you

Yep, it's pretty sad and embarrassing that so many gamers simp and make excuses for the incompetence of giant video game companies that don't give a damn about them.

Gamers get the video game industry that they deserve.

2 million players is such a fake number it includes every person who has a ubisoft connect subscription, even if they are playing this game they paid what $17 for the subscription for full access to a $70 title which needs to make $400 million back to break even, so yeah this game isn't doing well. You know its a red flag when they boast about players over sells figures lol, keep copeing though

Wow!!! At this rate it will hit 365 million by next year!
When you do bad at your job, nobody holds your hand and tells you it's okay. You lose your job and you get punished. Life is not about being a snowflake. These people are charging you money and they are only making this game to make money. It's a business relationship. Game devs are not your friends. If they make a bad game they deserve to lose money. That's how free markets work. Someone else will take their place and make games people want to play. DEI will never change that.

its a fake number boosted by ubisoft subscriptions which doesn't nearly pay for the cost to make the game haha, its to cover their ass for shareholders and investors

You cant expect it to be perfect, it honestly sounds like youre being overly critical. Perhaps you are biased, i dont think you would be as critical if the game has a cis white male protagonist. The things you're complaining about are in every game ever made

Cis white male sounds like you have some labeling issues. Why you got label everything should we miss gender you stop labeling things especially if you fail to understand anything. Dont use buzzwords your cult created just to virtue signal and for God sakes take off your mask while in your car alone its just ridiculous. Time for you to go out and touch some grass and see what real people are like. You might actually make some real friends.

"your" kind want to be called certain things then you make labels up for everything and everyone around you. Get over yourself
Game is great by the way but why won't these NPCs at my hideout just follow these beautiful paths I created for them. Subterfuge at the highest level.
