Crash On Start Screen
Hello. I have seen a lot of people start threads on this topic but my crash isn't at the "93%" or anything like that, I get through all of the dev screens and as soon as Yasuke and Naoe show up on the animus start menu my game crashes. If I had to guess it is something to do with UPlay but I am not certain.

I have tried every fix (I.E. Nvidia Control Panel restore, lowering refresh rate, my monitors never had GPU acceleration on, they don't have HDR on, I turned off sync, I verified game files and all the conventional fixes, I even tried some nonsense alt-tab trick someone recommended, and no I never had frame generation on in the first place I don't need fake frames)

I'm running a 3080 TI with a Ryzen 9 5950X, I have NEVER had an issue like this with any other game. I am at a complete loss as to what to do, I currently have over 20 hours so I am way beyond the refund point and my game is completely unplayable and from the hours I spent today troubleshooting, unfixable.

Yeah this happened out of nowhere today, it makes no sense I didn't even get an update on steam and nothing changed on my computer from when I was playing around midnight to now. I feel like this is solely a Ubisoft or Uplay issue maybe some bug with the game. Really blows my mind
i feel it i play it since Release with the newest GPU Driver from Nvidia no problems i did also no changes on steam or anything and what now ? ......

Update it works 2 Minutes the crash ingame and now the same Problem again

So, this solved my problem.
Try this: Delete all save-game data for ACShadows, Do not delete the ACShadows[OPTIONS].save; delete everything else.
Ubisoft Connect: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames

Same problem. As soon as the menu is supposed to turn up, it freezes my whole PC. The thing is, I can occasionally get past that point if I try enough times. If I do, the game works perfectly fine.
not fix yet?
anyone have a solution?

do you guys use a performance booster/optimizer program or something .. I have a Omen gaming PC wiith Omen Gaming Hub optimizing every game I launch, preventing gaming hub from boosting Shadows fixed every single CTD or launch error I have experienced with the game.

No just the regular OC that comes base with my AIB 3080 TI.

The game works sometimes (has been working for the past 2 days) but now is crashing again. Definitely a UPlay issue

This did not work for me. Went down a rabbit hole for about 4-5 hours trying a bunch of different things I can think of and my only conclusion is Ubisoft connect is the main issue. Nothing has worked for me.

I deleted my local save and turned off frame gen. Going to have to wait for an update before turning that back on.

So you're saying disable frame gen? I use FSR because I have a 3090. I'll try that later, hopefully it works but we'll see. I was able to get the game to launch using the firewall trick and turning off my internet, but I didn't realize that overwriting my save in game was my auto save and that's corrupted so I lost hours of playtime.
