Game is sutting my computer down
I have a 4080 card and updated drivers. The game keeps turning off my computer. switched to other games no issue

Sounds like a problem with your power supply.

Try turning xmp off so you are default ram speeds and test it again. If it stops shutting down then your ram is faulty or too fast.

installed on HDD or SSD? SSD is necessary for this game, it would not run on HDD (not good).
Check cable connection and psu and lower graphics reinstall and or check integreti.
Also take a strong coffe while doing that.

The issue for me was gsync and frame gen cannot both be on otherwise the game crashes my computer. Same thing happens to cyberpunk for me as well. I used the Nvidia app and changed "Monitor technology" to "Fixed refresh" for these specific games and the crashes went away. Granted this is not an ideal solution but I can play the games at least. It might also be related to the kind of monitor. I have a 240hz 4k OLED monitor. Some have indicated if you lower the monitor frequency to 120 it will fix it as well.
