Is this cutscene desynchronisation happening during the same cutscene every time for both of you or is it random?

When was the last time it happened to you?
When it happens, do you also experience connectivity issues?

Did you try verifying / checking integrity of the game files?

Do you both have the game installed on an SSD storage device?

This happened to me as well, first main story cutscene in Kyoto. I also got randomly desynchronized when walking around town (screen suddenly began pulsing grey, then got the desync message).

only happened that one time and never again so all good
have played about 20 hours now
