I'm constantly crashing during this short Yaya mission, where you have to kill a few people. Crash always happens on killing the final enemy. Is this happening to anyone else? Does anyone have any advice?

no solution either, always crash on the last enemy too, lets see if u crash on oda mission too

Can't test if I'd crash on that mission or not as when I load the game, I'm loaded into the Yaya mission

To troubleshooting this crashing, would it be possible to complete the steps below.

- Ensure your PC meets all system requirements [www.ubisoft.com] for Assassin's Creed Shadows including using an SSD.
- Try to have both the game and Ubisoft Connect and Steam on the same drive
- Perform a clean boot [support.microsoft.com] to ensure that a 3rd party app is not interfering.
- Complete the steps in our dedicated troubleshooting guide [ubi.li]

Should this then persist, would it be possible to share your system specs?

Yeah, my specs are

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 11 Home (10.0, Build 22631)
Processor: 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12650H 10/16
RAM: 16 GB
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU (4 GB)

I was able to get past crashing on the enemies by killing the last enemy at a distance with a kunai, but when I try to approach yaya directly it was crashing on my steam deck still regardless of how many times I attempted to load in. Downloading it on my pc now and will retest then post. But I have made it past the battle scene now I just need to make it to yaya for the cutscene.

*update* the crash was related to YaYa herself, anytime i got within range or tried to start the cutscene it would happen again.

Yeah, I found out a few hours after posting this that this is a well known bug being experienced by, last I saw, 80 other people.
I think Ubi-WheelyDuck may be a bot. Kind of annoying that real humans aren't involved in the process.

I've just encountered this bug too, annoying as all hell as the only solution I found was reinstalling and speed running a new game.
I havent done that as I've got 20 hours of exploration and side content on my save and I'm not doing that again!
Guess we're all gonna have to wait for a update to fix this 😔
