Game is not launching

Click play, "X Stop", then goes back to Play again without the game ever launching

UPDATE: Unlink your Steam account from Ubisoft via Ubisoft's Account Information page then launch the game

same. have ubisoft connect running (game hasn't synced/does not show up there yet), even reloaded the whole game again thinking pre-load might have bugged, not launching. good gosh

Unlink Steam account from Ubisoft then launch the game.

UPDATE/SOLUTION:

So just exit the steam app and launch the steam app again as administrator (right click > run as admin) seems there's some permissions issues behind the drapes causing this.

Tried that, Still doesn't even launch. I hit play then nothing happens

restarting my entire pc and launching ubisoft first fixed this for me. had same issue.
