Could I Run It?
I have an RTX 4050 with 6 GB VRAM, i7-12th Gen CPU, 16 GB Ram, and of course a SSD. I would like to know if I could run it with my set up since I can run Valhalla and max settings but I can barely get Odyssey to run at low setting since it stutters every 5 seconds.

Check the spec sheet on Ubisoft's site, check what specs you want to run it on, compare Ubisoft's stated specs with your own (on techpowerup -> GPU/CPU Database).

16 GB RAM isn't enough anymore, you need at least 32 GB. And 6 GB of VRAM is also kinda low, you need at least 8 GB to play recent games decently. The resolution you're playing at is also important.

From what I can check, 4050 is a mobile GPU, and laptop GPUs are weaker than their desktop counterparts. I have a 3080Ti 16 GB laptop GPU, and that is ~50% weaker than its desktop namesake.

If I were you, I'd wait for user reviews to see if optimisation and general performance is decent. If done poorly, these can make a playable game, unplayable.

Valhalla had a total data restructure[www.ubisoft.com] post-launch, which made it run far better in every way. Had to re-download the entire game when they did it. Depends whether or not Shadows gets that treatment from day one.

Thanks for getting back to me on this the both of you. I pre-ordered the game and decided to just bite the bullet and try to play it. Hopefully it will be one of there more optimized pc ports, since Ubisoft said that one of the ray-tracing options will only do ray-tracing in the hideout to help people with older hardware be able to play it.

6gb vram is problaby going to be on the limit even on lower settings.

What kind of cpu matter not just the gen, problaby the least issue but depends on the cpu. As other have said 32gb ram is almost a must these days, since the usage often at best land somewhere close to 16 so there is no room left.

That you can run Valhalla at max but not Odyssey is weird though, same engine but Valhalla is the newer one. Odyssey can go around on a 980 on decent settings (had that when the game released^^^).

The problem I will Odyssey is that it stutters so much even on an SSD that I can't even get past the opening battle before you control the main character.
Can i run this game with my old cheap machine ?
Ryzen 7 1700
GTX 1660 super 6Gb
32 Gb RAM
SSD
I play ghost reccon break point on highest settings by default on 1366x768 resolution, i wish i can do the same with shadows 😔

You sadly need at least a GPU with 8 GB VRAM :(

Don’t bother lol and for odyssey you need to use dxvk.
