Can`t talk with NPC-s

Does anyone else have a similar problem?

I often can't talk to characters. For example, I recruited Katsuhime into the hideout, I see the dialogue icon above her head, but when I try to interact, nothing happens. I've restarted the game a hundred times, both from checkpoints and completely.

Another problem is:
I want to talk to the blacksmith to upgrade my gear, but the dialogue icon doesn't appear above his head, and I can't interact with him at all. Sometimes switching characters or restarting the game helps."

And a similar thing can happen with random NPCs in different locations

You said "click", but are you using mouse/keyboard or a game controller? If the latter, try disabling Steam Input in the game properties from Steam and see if that helps. It can sometimes mess up the controls.

Otherwise, not sure. I've not seen that one myself. I am using a XBox One gamepad and have disabled Steam Input. Controls have never given me a problem.

Recent update didn't fix that. Can't talk to npcs with talking marks at hideout since there's no Y-Talk on them. Also in my case Katsuhime is across the bridge from main entrance to hideout but with her wounded animation like in her last mission where she was shot.

It's like that since my yesterday session when I heard Tomiko arguing with Yaya. But I still could talk to smyth, and today he's silent too.

I upgraded few characters, couple of buildings and planted a few trees last time they spoke.

After the update, I also started experiencing bugs with various merchants — they have a dialogue icon above their heads, but I can't interact with them. The same goes for all the characters in the shelter.
Also, Katsuhime is sitting on the ground with an injured leg, waving her hand, but I can't interact with her either.

I can’t start a mission or the ox.. It’s join the search and I can’t talk to the guy so the mission starts…

I don't think a video is absolutely necessary, since there's nothing in it that would really help clarify the issue. It's just that the interaction doesn't work, that's all. The NPC is standing in their usual spot, and there are two scenarios: either there's no dialogue icon above their head at all and the interaction button (usually "E" by default on keyboard) doesn’t appear, or the dialogue icon is there but the interaction button is missing. It doesn't matter whether you're using a keyboard or a controller.the issue happens in both cases.

As for the case with Katsuhime, it's unique: the dialogue icon is present above her head, and the interaction button appears, but when you press the interaction button, it disappears and nothing happens.though the dialogue icon remains.

Regarding the Katsuhime case, this issue is currently under investigation.
