I'm surprised that no patches got out yet about that...
Thank you for your post and sorry to hear that you experience audio issues after swapping your GPUs.
I see in your message that you have no audio in any game, not just Assassin's Creed Shadows.
It seems like either something is not connected correctly (GPU HDMI output to your speakers/amp HDMI input), or you need to reinstall Nvidia drivers that include audio driver, or your audio output devices are not configured correctly in Windows Audio settings.
Are you getting audio when browsing Internet websites (YouTube for instance)?
Yes, that's correct. It's not related to Assassin's Creed Shadows. It seems to be an issue with the NVIDIA drivers or my GPU. It works when I connect to speakers via a Bluetooth adapter, but then I only get stereo sound. I want to experience full Atmos/surround when I'm playing
I've tried a lot of things. I've tested different HDMI cables, tried different HDMI inputs on the speakers, used older NVIDIA drivers, and also performed a clean installation of the new drivers. The sound works on YouTube, but there’s no sound in games, and the audio is crackling and distorted
