??Where is the Shield Bearer??
??Just wanting to know as so far I haven't seen or found him anywhere??

He's one of the possible Calamity events on a higher Gnosis now.

AH ok well not encountered him yet but I'll keep an eye out as I'm the highest I can be at Gnosis at the moment!!

(Any particular map he shows up on more than others?)

There are people on the forum who have seen him on the Castle map, however his spawn chance seems to be pretty small, so I don't think its relevant.
Keep using Broken Mirrors and you will get him eventually!

Scarlett Coast or Irongare Castle, Gnosis 3 or 4. As being said earlier, he is pretty rare.

He sure is as I've gone through countless Calamities and used many a broken mirror and still no Shield Bearer yet?

Unfortunately it's fairly rare. For last time I wanted to summon him for video, I used 10 broken mirrors + faced 7 ordinary calamities.

I've used upwards of 40-50 mirrors, not even including the indirect calamities that happen while farming guns. Probably a bit too rare, lol

I just encountered him as a Calamity event at Scarlett Coast - Gnosis 3 and got the achievement. Good luck

Gnosis level 4, only playing Irongate castle at this point.
I've had him about 4 times in 50+ calamities.
Idk if this true at all, but he's only ever spawned for me after I've defeated 5+ manifestations, usually while I'm fighting the vault or familiar.

Finally faced him today and died the first time but then faced him another two times and beat him..........took a lot of attempts to get him to show though and I think it's more just based on luck than anything!!

Took me about 10 Broken Mirrors (plus probably 10 or more regular Calamities while playing without hunting for this boss) to get him to spawn. I was just loading into the Castle map, killing the nearest group of enemies to make space, then using a Broken Mirror. I started to wonder if I needed to have more of the map cleared first, or if he could only spawn in certain map areas... but stuck with it and he spawned on the 10th or so.

Guess its very rare by design. Much like Ship its quite a battle compared to obliterating 10-20 small husks. Never saw ship since last patch so to speak but chanced on Shield last day. Was wondering where he went after familliar swapping update.

Fun bit - he wields shield sometimes even with shield area activated. Could be bit buggy now.

Oh, and here i thought game trolled me by sending it right when i fought Slave. Decided to try Conch and got ship too. And after ship was dealt with turned out Slave went to old pit battleground. Prity neat remix of old familliar fight but it takes several slopy plays to see it unfold.

I had ship spawn many times on castle map so it definitely not unique to the slave fight and i got the shield Bearer like 3 times out of 10 runs.
