Arcana - Silly Question

So how do I get to use more than the first line of Arcana? I've got Guns and Spells both equipped, but I can only ever use the Arcana that is set into the first slot.

mmm not a very clear question. You destroy a pack of monsters - a red crystal will fall out - you pick up the crystal - you get a new Arcana - you choose it and it works. If you have White Feathers, you can activate the second Arcana in a row, you can also open a closed Arcana, but to activate it, you still need feathers. If you use Prophecies, you must slot them into the base. If the prophecy you place does not match either the weapon or the spell, you will receive a Failed Prophecy. What I mean is, no matter how many white feathers I have, and no matter how many Manifestations I absorb, Arcana is only ever unlocked/appears in the first row - the row at the very top.

I am never given the opportunity to select from the rows beneath it.

Are you talking about arcana or prophecy? Prophecy is the equipable thing on the left which can influence what arkana you roll. You should definitely be able to activate all 7 rows of arcanas when you clear the map and absorb the big red crystals. The prophecy slots unlock when you level your gnosis.

Are you choosing one of the options? You don't get all of them, you gotta pick one first? idk what's going otherwise.
