Bad player character hitboxes
Hi, I prefer playing FPS games with 110 fov. The problem is - the wider fov is in Witchfire, the worse player character hitbox became. With 110 fov I'm getting hit by enemy male attacks from couple of meters. I can see an enemy landing 5 meters next to me, hitting the ground with an exe and I'm still getting hit. This doesn't seem to be a problem with very low fov. Please fix this issue, it makes boss fights broken.

I don't know about FOV, but the player hitboxes leave much to be desired.

I mean the field of view should move the view cam backwards and not alter the character but if that is what its doing that's a proper strange one, think i will just leave the fov well alone for now until they fix that.

Try higher fov( I'm playing 100-110), I'm curious if you will notice a difference.

FOV changes distance perception drastically, so I'm 90% sure it's just a visual effect and your brain is playing tricks on you
You just have to get used to how it plays in a different FOV

I've noticed it a lot in Helldivers, because players have a set throwing distance, and the same 40 meters feel extremely different between 80 and 90 FOV, same with melee enemies, looking way bigger and coming closer in smaller FOV

Yeah, but I've played a lot of FPS with high fov(like Quake, Painkiller, Unreal, HL, L4D) and never noticed this thing(enemies that are far away hitting you with malee). This is Witchfire exclusive.

1. half of these don't have melee at all
2. you prolly played high FOV right off the bad so you couldn't realistically compare

Compare what? If something that shouldn't hit me with melee, because it hits the ground 5 meters next to me gives me damage? That I can do. I also do like this game and I want it to be even better, so please do not give me fanboy take on it's shortcomings.

You're just making excuses to blame the game at this point

What you percieve as 5 meters can be VASTLY different under a different FOV setting but you can't seem to be able to grasp that
That's just how FOV works, accept it or not

this game isnt designed around FOV over 100, playing with it lower is way better

I think it plays just fine on 120
