And maybe give player an option to use mirror in a bossfight for much better rewards.
Something like that would be fine/neat, too. Just seems like the boss fights aren't designed with Calamities in mind at all
Secondly you can have up to 3 4-leaf clovers on hand, each reducing the calamity threshold by one. You can also pop Elias down to just remove all the threshold. If you are still struggling, I'm assuming you are getting hit a lot during the fight so Goliath might help as he taunts the enemies and tanks for you while you damage dump on a boss. Combining those, you should have 11 ticks of calamity before actually spawning an event during a boss fight/vault run.
Idk about the castle boss yet, haven't faced them, but yeah, idk, calamity is just part of planning ahead like ammo chests. I even think its impossible to get a calamity from fighting a boss with zero eyes unless you got a looooot of health vials (i only have 3 for now), you'd probably die first if you're getting hit that often, but i havent tested it myself.
