The software that came with the mouse never offered me an update. Manual check in the application itself leads to page 404. I do not plan to rummage through the manufacturer's archives myself.
In any case, I have not encountered such a glitch in many other games.
Do you have another mouse to see if the problem might be your mouse? I would expect this kind of problem, if it were universal, would be something that people would notice and mention. I have played the game on three different systems by now and never experienced anything like it.
At any rate, it sounds pretty annoying and I hope you can find a way to fix it.
I suppose some people had similar problems in the past.
But I don't think I have any old working mice left.
Literally after playing Witchfire, I rebooted my PC to get my sensitivity settings back to normal so I could play L4D2.
You're not crazy. I've had the same issue. I thought my son might have been playing with the sensitivity, but it was the game.
