Sanity?
Entered the first island vault after getting my gnosis to level 1. It's tough but doable, until i get to the sections with this new sanity mechanic? Green zones deplete my sanity in a huge AoE, but sometimes even standing outside these zones damages my sanity. I don't see a way to counteract it or deactivate these fields. How to beat?

Your sanity meter will refill is you just stand out of the green zones. You can run through them from one safe spot to the next with little issues. I have never died to it, doesn't pose a threat as much as control the space your movement in 2(iirc) key fights.

Best of luck mate.

It's a dumb/unfinsihed/broken mechanic, currently the only way to survive that is to hide behind something that blocks the puke light while fighting enemies (Only sometimes works due to how buggy it is) and then since you HAVE to go into the light to progress, you just have to run through it quickly and hope you can do so before dying.

Damn. I retried it before reading all this and thought maybe I had to shoot it or melee it :( RIP to 36K witchfire T.T

Any clue where to go after the jumping section that ends with 2 musketmen? After the second corpse you search, you're in this small tunnel, and they spawn in upon exiting. They're pretty much right next to a green crystal lantern thing, and I don't see where else I'm meant to go.

In any case, this is a massive blow, and I'll probably spend a couple runs grinding health or something idk :/
iirc, after you jump up where the musketeers where, you turn to the right and run past the green zone. I believe after that is the last fight. Watch out as there is another green zone. Once everyone is dead, collect your chests on the right and then run up to the glowing green idol and grab the knife, jump through the runed wall and you'll be back at the entrance.

Well its pretty dangerous if you are low level !
All you can do is progress through insanity green light as fast as you can and then hide behind a pillar or in the shadows to refill your sanity.

The way to beat the vault is kill everything inside it within the time limit.
Green light has nothing to do with victory conditions

Damn, I'm not even sure that's survivable with the time it'd take to find the path forwards and run through all under the damaging effect.

What level would you say is good for tackling it? I find the second map really hard so far, and the first very manageable. Can't remember my exact level though, but I can check next time I play.

Edit: Just checked and I'm at lv17. No idea if that's good enough for the vault.

You can easily get from each safe area to the next before your meter runs out.

And even if your meter runs out, all it does is a little damage and then your meter resets.

It does a huge amount of damage and also reduces your stamina. The whole Sanity mechanic needs a rework in my opinion. Especially at higher gnosis, it's too unforgiving.

Yeah, i don't have any clue either. Boom - Sanity-Mechanic thrown at you, player! Destroy whatever or kill whatever - i even forgot what to do because i had to run from all the enemies and the musketeers... What exactly should i destroy, who exactly should i kill and where? Long story short, i don't like this mechanik, at least in it's current state.

Please don't get me wrong, i don't have a problem with the mechanic, but i just don't know what to do. Maybe it's my bad english (i'm german, go blame me ;-P), maybe a marker on the map could help. At this moment it's just frustrating.

What the f*ck is he even trying to say? That makes no sense.
I'm level 10 with Gnosis 1 and I just did it. It's a weird mechanic and not explained at all.
Just stay out of the green light and shoot the enemies. Not really much more to it.
At the end, don't miss out on the 2 chests rewards. Does anybody know if there is an exit, because I walked all the way back to the entry.

There's a mirage in the back corner that lead straight out to the vault entrance.

The sanity zones force you to fight where the game wants you to fight, if you try to fight in a sanity zone you will fill the meter over and over again until you die. That is how they control your movement in the 2 fights key fights in that vault. They don't really pose a threat because they can only kill you if you make incredibly the incredibly poor decision to fight while standing in one of those zones.

Hope that helps.
