how do i take down theese fu***rs on lvl 2 ?
or do i just avoid them?

You mean gatekeepers? There are two small totems next to them, one red and one blue. The gatekeepre itself changes color every few seconds. You need to shoot the totem when the totem and the gatekeeper are the same color. Totems can be found by their sound, they make a crackling kind of sound.
