So either;
a) Carry a backup sniper (makes getting swarmed a nightmare I know :P)
b) Chose another rifle as a primary if you want to primarily engage at long ranges
c) Use Hailstorm as a secondary to deal with rough spots where you need the range.
That's just my opinion though, I get how ♥♥♥♥ like this can be frustrating when you like a weapon so much ^^
Have fun potting them heretics, glad you came around.
Also, take power drain, last shot, and bring cornucopia. Hailstorm can turn engagements into shooting galleries. You can remove entire encounters with out even the slightest amount of danger.
It gets even worse, last time I checked, the mysterium for extra ammo was bugged - it reloads ammo from your reserves but doesn't give you "extra" ammo as the description promises.
If this gets fixed, one could argue that at least good skill could help you get more ammo.
Because I agree, this weapon has too little ammo - especially considering the fact that ammo finds in the world each only give you 1 (one!) round
The large ammo drop gives 21 bullets.
