3070ti yet out of video memory?

On startup I can't even get to the first menu of the game before a popup says I'm out of video memory and to make sure my system specs meet requirements.

i9-13900k
Geforce RTX 3070 Ti
32GB DDR4 RAM

I don't have anything extra running on my machine aside from Steam itself.

Any thoughts?

Turns out, 20th time is the charm. After a bunch of attempt finally got me to the menu before crashing, one finally let me into settings to turn everything down. I've been able to turn them back up since then and been mostly fine (though with a bit of hitching here and there even after turning them back down).

We'll see tomorrow when I get back on if it lets me play again.

You have a 13th Generation Intel processor, have you done the microcode update and/or BIOS Update so it will not overvolt and kill the processor.
The out of video memory crash is one of the main problems you will encouter in games.
You are not actually out of video memory, but the processor has problems adressing the memory.

Ald is correct. Out of gpu video memory is often caused by the 13th and 14th gen cpu issues. Get that bios updated and set the correct settings that help resolve the issue.

weird. got a 3070ti aswell and game runs as smooth as butter.

Smo sad to bring the bad news but your CPU is dying try to update the microcode under volt and or reduce clock may keep it running. but if you can i suggest you try to get it replaced under warranty to extent the time you can use your current gen cpu

It's your CPU. If you get similar errors, I strongly suggest you to get a 12900K, or turn to AMD.
You can contact Intel for a replacement under extended 5 years warranty.

It eventually just started working all on its own (though the stutter can be pretty bad), but thank you for the info about driver updates. I knew there was an issue with this processor (of course it comes out years after I buy it), but I didn't know there was a fix at all.
I went and got the BIOS update which states it does have the microcode fix in it (at least what's available). Hopefully that prevents any (further) damage.

Also, a 3070ti is not that old of a GPU and should still run things just fine, just as it does for so so so many others. Don't be ridiculous. It has well-beyond the power necessary for this.

A 3070TI is enough for constant 110+ fps in this game no problem.

Its not the CPU i have the 13900k and no Probelms.
I tweaked the voltage in Bios though...

The out of video Memory despite what the message says is a known Intel CPU Problem.
It has nothing to do with the speed of the CPU...
Does not mean that every CPU has this Problem
