But Echo feels good, also the Riccochet (how ever it is spelled) just crushes hordes if combined with Iron Cross and Fire Breath for example.
Also the Revolver which explodes the shots at reload felt strong and fun.
Cricket had some cool interactions I want to check out more...
But by far, Hailstorm. Its my save GoTo Weapon to clear out the map from far and learn about it. Where can I go, hide, have good spots... it is easier if you have killed all stronger enemies already from half across the map.
Hailfire's one weakness is its slow reload speed... which is why I use the Frost Sphere to catch up. Its third mysterium doubles reload speed, and the breather lets you pick your targets and carefully plant bombs in multiple enemies; the second Mysterium makes your explosions stronger the more enemies you spike before a reload.
Lastly, I prefer damage-dealing Fire-based Arcana, and among guns, this one's the most effective and reliable at setting things on fire.
Rotweaver + Hunger
Frost Cone + Burning Stake
Braid Of A Seductress/Painted Tooth + Henbane + Crown Of Fire/Shadowmist Ring
Hypnosis for the perfect shot skill reward
I'm also a sucker for the good ol' reliable Hunger but years of Halo formate my brain into reload happy which doesn't help for the mysterium effect
And Cricket cause it feel like this is the way the game want to be played : aggressive dash, risky at melee range, poping sigil (also i played earlier build and this poor insect used to have like half the range and damages, you needed to empty the whole mag in the nose of a major ennemy to kill it)
Echo
Shockwave
Flame Stake
I love the action in the face of the enemies. At the start of the game I never would have consider to play close range only in witchrfire but now I love it
The Hangfire Revolver: Torque approved
^ Nice to see a Midas enjoyer, I've been really trying to like it, but I'm too OCD about getting most shots in the bar, so even good kills feel unsatisfying lol
Even after the Hangfire nerf, it's still really good. It can now carry 120 bullets (6 in the mag) which is also excellent for ammo economy.
Echo would be my honorable mention. That said, I typically like to keep a bit of distance. The big downside is the use of stamina just to fire the damn thing.
For my play style the ammo economy of this combination is excellent. Early in my play through, I was always struggling with ammo. That's not the case anymore.
I'm dominating Gnosis 3 with this loadout.
Hangfire
Striga
The Launcher Demon Weapon - (Sorry forgot the name) This thing can do massive damage at distance.
Frost Cone - very underrated (Acts as my O chit button if I get ran up on)
Burning Stake - Best heavy spell in the game.
Madman for those juicy critical's with Striga
The Mandrake Relic (The healing one)
Shadow Mist Ring (Being able to teleport through enemies without while doing damage and potentially freezing them is just too damn good.)
Second is Echo. It pairs really well with the Cricket and have enough firepower to instantly wipe out most targets with a little combo magic. It also feel pretty awesome to open combat by sprint-sliding right up in someones face and blasting them to kingdom come..
Rotweaver + Striga/ASEye
Stigma/Cyst + Burning Stake
Kirfane/Banshee + Henbane + Thorns
It tooks only 2 spells and few shot to clear any wave....
