By default you hold down the same button you use for your light spell. You can also change it so the two use different keys, which is what I did.

Click the spell button for LS hold it for HS simple as that ;-)

I recommend you change it to two keys. Think of F as your magic-based melee attack and G as your super grenade move.

You have a charged meele, a normal meele when charge m is on cd. You have a light and heavy spell, it was wise of them to put is on one button with a proper animation for hold.

Its also very easy to learn i think ;-)
