Campaign/Storyline?

I read somewhere in an article or forum that Witchfire does not have a campaign/storyline. Is this true?

It does have a story, it doesnt have any campaign/storyline, its still in early access, so all we have is a lot of notes.

No storyline, it's not that kind of game. You're a witch hunter, plain & simple.
You're given tools, magic, maps and enemies, and you have one objective, find the witch.

There’s a chance they add cutscenes later on that you get after killing every isle’s familiar.

There is some story, but like any souls game it won't be spelled out for ya and will probably need to be pieced together from the small lore bits we find along the way.

From the Early Access notes on the store page: "We plan to add new biomes, each with unique enemies, traps, loot, and mysteries. Lastly, we will place more emphasis on lore and narrative.” It sounds like more story content is planned for later.
