Red Fireflies

I'm looking for the red energy gem and cannot find the red fireflies anywhere in the west. I've been all the way to the left edge of the map and back. Where are they?

if they are not to the west, they are to the est ^^ (or in the sky islands)

Hehe, I only had to look a short distance to the east. They technically found me before I found them.

any of you know where the exploding fireflies are? im looking to get the gem residue and i think its from exploding fireflies, are those these red ones or are they something else?

OHHHH wait nvm i found them, they are blue ones, except they are a bit bigger then the normal ones, thx anyway thou
