(Minor spoilers) Diamonds

Well... I can't get diamonds. I can't get to the depth in the volcano without being killed by lava rising. Even if I get a diamond I can never escape the eruption. I have tried to use platforms but they just get torched. Currently I'm sitting in a one block hole healing a composite block to keep from dying. Any help with be appreciated.

If you have a teleporter, thorium generator, and wire you can sacrifice those to teleport out. You should start decending at noon because that is when the lava level is lowering.

The most effective method of extracting a diamong is also probably the most costly.

Take a teleporter and a thorium reactor with you. Once you get the diamond, place the teleporter and reactor then jump out of there. You will loose both of those things, but since its close to the end of the game, its not as huge of a deal.

I didn't know that lava descended at noon. Thank you! I will try the teleporter too.

In fact i'm going to make very soon a mini fix for the v0.24 (in order to add japanese language, i'll explain soon), and i think i'll also reduce the fire damage on time and the fireball push force, so you can get out of the volcano more easily

Morning is the best time to descend into the volcano.

The way I do it is called the 'Mission Impossible' version.

1. Have a lake of water above the volcano. At morning, dig a hole through the basalt to let the water fall into the volcano. Wait a minute or two.
2. Jump into the volcano, using the shotgun, shooting down, to slow your descent. You should evenually land on some basalt that the water created when it cooled some lava.
3. Keep going until your at the bottom.
4. Use the thorium generator and teleporter to escape.

Oh it was morning when the lava goes down. I never really memorized it, I just jump in.
