But i'm still very interested to better balance the default settings. Do you think I should add more monsters with every additional players ? Or more hp ? Or more damage ? One benefit of the custom params is that you can try to setup exactly the difficulty you wish, and then tell me the numbers so I get a good balancing suggestion :-)
As for how to increase difficulty. More damage would probably mean your turrets will become useless and you (and turrets) would just get instant deaths which nobody likes and doesn't add anything to gameplay.
So I would be looking at the number and/or HP of the monsters as this is something a team of players could fight without just dying from a single hit. Numbers overwhelm graduatly and more HP would lead to the same which increases difficulty on a more timely scale and still gives players the option to flee before it's to late.
But, these are just my thoughts, did not test anything yet.
