Error occured! Your Serial is deactivated
Well, Steam gave me a serial key, but could not use it, using the support site to generate unlock code for me, it has written "Error occured! Your Serial is deactivated"

What should I do?

IT IS STILL POSSIBLE TO LAUNCH THE GAME IN 2022, EVEN THE MULTIPLAYER MODE, AND IT'S ACTUALLY NOT THAT HARD TO DO.

To those, who are not satisfied with just the summary - all that you have to do to launch the game is:
  • Open this Steam Guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2087402071
  • Download GFWL using "backup link" from that guide, install it and log in;

  • Download 80PA app using another "backup link" from there (and no, it's not a virus or scam - simply a barely-legal soft, that, however, won't harm your license key or Steam account);

  • Download, install and launch the game;

  • Activate it with 80PA app, choosing "manual activation" option in the game's installer window.

  • Welcome to the Grid, Program!😎👌

  • Optionally #1 - using yet another "backup link" from that guide, you can also download and install a DLC Multiplayer Map Pack (if you deem it necessary, of course).

  • Optionally #2 (NOT REALLY OPTIONALLY) - leave your like and/or comment on Lulech23's guide, he is our hero - and he definitely deserves our appreciation.

У меня тоже самое , решения не нашол :salty:

The game seems to have finally been delisted.

Unfortunately, new installs of the game do not register. My PC I have had it installed on for 2 years will boot it right up, but this laptop I just set up yesterday has your same issue. I am going to look into ways to bypass their key verification system, then I will get back to you.
So the DRM servers are gone? Unless you're on a system that was already authenticated the game is unplayable?

Thanks a lot, man.

Drm servers aren't gone; it looks like disney revoked all keys when they lost their rights to the daft punk music in the game

Same here. I found the Securom support page for Tron Evolution and I have just written to the email they have there. I will update the progress on this thread.

UPDATE:

Got an aswer from SecuROM.

Since the game installation has to be validated on SecuROM own servers, I assumed that Disney "bought" SecuROM not as a "one time purchase" thing, but as a "subscription" which you have to pay periodically if you want to keep using it (including the authorization of the installation) .

I asked for confirmation on this part and they told me I was right, that you have to pay the "subscription" to use the authorization server, and since Disney had stopped paying, it didn't work, including the authorization thing. Simple.

You are right with your assumption, we can't run this service anymore for for
Disney titles, therefore all activations are denied.
Best would be to contact Disney to get a refund for your purchase or convince
them to release an unprotected version of the game.

Now I'm goint to write to Disney from the link that SecuROM gave me.

I used to rail against Disney Interactive in the past, criticizing them for the stupid things they did. But, for a time, they got better, and I stopped being so harsh on them.

If I'm understanding the current situation correctly: Not only anyone who tries to activate TRON Evolution for the first time, but even past customers who bought any version of the game (Steam, Retail Disc) and don't currently have it installed, will be unable to activate SecuROM in order to get the game to run. At least, not without resorting to using a crack. Only those who already have the game installed, will be able to play without issue.

That is completely unacceptable. People who paid for the game, have the right to reinstall and play it whenever they want to. And now they can't.

If Disney isn't willing to pay SecuROM to continue providing them with activation services, then any games released by them with SecuROM need to be updated to remove it. I mean, TRON Evolution is 9 years old now, and it was released on Steam 5 years ago. We're well past the crucial early release period, where they wanted to protect the game to preserve sales.

I had it uninstalled when this happened and it still runs for me, so I think as long as you had it authenticated on your PC before you can still reinstall. You're right about the rest as far as I know. It sucks that so many companies don't care about their games and let them die by not thinking ahead with terrible DRM.

EA actually had something similar, but they released a bypass tool for their games.

Oh hey, the comments are back!

So yeah, I wanted to play this game for years. I'm a huge fan of the Legacy movie and the Uprising series, the only thing I have not tried was the game.

So a week ago, I finally got myself a key from G2*cough*A. WooHoo!
Download the game. I boot it up.
SecuROM pops up. I enter my key.

"Your key has been revoked"
Wtf

Searched for solutions on google - nothing. Thought I got scammed for my first time. Then, god bless the Steam community, I stumbled upon this thread, where i find out that SecuROM had shut down the support for the game, and, by the looks of it, just a WEEK ago.
