We just revealed our new game My Cannibal Family during the Future Game Show Summer showcase.  

If you saw the trailer, you might have some questions. Well, you’ve come to the right place… here’s a totally made-up Q&A I had with myself, you're the Q! 

Ryan, officially I’m Creative Director of Wolf & Wood but in family terms I’m more like an antagonistic grandma who forgets everyone’s name and doesn’t say anything nice. 

My Cannibal Family is a twisted carnival builder where you’re the monster. You lure in and ‘harvest’ unsuspecting guests to survive. You progress by growing your own mutant family who take the manual work away from you. They tidy up, perform on the sideshows and keep the Rest Stop clear of Goo Worms. 

4 player online co-op with local Split-Screen available. We’re launching on PC, PS5 and Xbox S/X some time in 2027. 

Yeah, mutated worms that ooze Royal Goo when splatted, they’re the building block of all mutant life. Duh. 

Gameplay splits a day-night cycle, daytime for gathering, planning and building and night for a stealth slasher rampage. There are a lot of ways to do this, setup distractions and amenities to separate people from their group, place Attractions to lead them around and setup traps to take them out. Build a network of secret areas, gap walls and hiding spots to remain undetected. 

Shotguns! …and a load of other weapons, buffs and power ups. Plus, you build at your own pace and don’t have to keep expanding your attractions until you’re ready for more guests. 

You were part of a mafia, until you broke one of their unwritten rules. Their trail was short and punishment swift, your corpse is stuffed into a barrel of toxic sludge and dumped at an abandoned rural Rest Stop. Bursting from the glowing goo, you emerge as mutated monster with a hunger for flesh and thirst for revenge. 

We’re launching a closed playtest on Steam like... right now. Sign up on our steam page to join in, but just a heads up, it’s an ‘early playtest’ build so we’re keeping it limited to give us time to gather thoughts, feedback and general feeling about our new mutant baby.  
 
We’ll be doing more stuff like this in the future so don’t fret if you don’t get in this one, there will be plenty of chances to take a sneak preview. 

The playtest is running for 10 days, starting from today and then the playtest will end at 16:00CET on Tuesday, 16th June 

Loads of stuff! You can play from the opening tutorial all the way up to the first boss. That’s technically where the playtest ends but you can still play after that, there’s an additional unlock after the boss, so go wild, build, decorate, kill, consume and tell us what you think of the game.
